240 Law Violations By Lukashenko’s Crew

Civil initiative “Civic observation” recorded 240 election law violations in the collection of signatures during the pre-election campaign in Belarus. The chief physician of a psychiatric clinic of Gomel region took 70 signatures in favor of Lukashenko from his patients. In some schools of Belarus the teachers weren’t let leave on vacations until they supplied at least 90 gathered signatures in Lukashenko’s support.

Detained For 10 Days Sergey Bakhun Released Ahead Of Time

The leader of the Brest division of the Youth Front was released on July 27, one day before his term ended. S.Bakhun participated in protest rally on December 10, 2000 on the day when the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted. The court of the Leninsky district claimed the action was unauthorized, and fined the participants.

Independence Day ZUBR’s Action In “Photo Chronicles” Section

A significant protest on Independence Day was held in Minsk by ZUBR resistance movement. At 12 o’clock on the Victory Square out of the blue several hundreds of guys with ZUBR logo T-shirts showed. They formed up in two lines along the Eternal Fire and laid white-red-white wreaths and many other flowers to the monument dedicated to the liberation of Belarus from fascist invaders. A column of five hundred ZUBRs headed down the sidewalks towards the Oktyabrskaya Square. After the police blocked their way, ZUBRs sat on the ground and took out photographs of the renowned figures disappeared in Belarus. During the protest rally about two dozens of people were detained. ZUBR MARKS INDEPENDENCE DAY – 2 DOZEN ARRESTED

Big protest was launched by the ZUBR resistance on the Independence Day in Minsk. At 12 there all of a sudden showed up hundreds of young men in ZUBR T-shirts. Having lined up in two rows along the eternal fire the activists laid white-red-white bouquet and many other flowers to the monument, commemorating the nation’s liberation from NAZI occupation. Afterwards a few dozen new recruits were accepted as ZUBR members, swearing an oath of allegiance to Belarus. From there the 500-strong procession moved out along the sidewalks towards the Oktyabrskaya square. When they approached the square, some plain-clothed cops attempted to initiate a big fight.

Vladimir Goncharik: Our Team Knows How to Lead the Country Out of Deadlock

The press-conference of a unique candidate of the united democratic opposition Vladimir Goncharik and members of the democratic “five” – Sergei Kalyakin, Pavel Kozlovsky and Mikhail Chigir – was held today in Minsk. Vladimir Goncharik informed the journalists that they are now through with the formation of the candidate’s election headquarters, presided over by Vasily Leonov – leader of the “For new Belarus” movement. They also stated the creation of presidential council, including all members of the “five” and which, as figuratively noted by Goncharik, represents a “brain-center” for nominating one candidate for the presidency.

Today by 11a.m. I had to leave for the Leninsky court to serve a 10-day administrative penalty. Let me remind the readers that according to police version, on May 18 this year I attacked the peacefully standing law-enforcers from the Zavodsky district station. Unable to cope with Schukin alone, they called for reinforcement – 70 people from a riot police company. (This figure was voiced during the judicial investigation). Having captured me, hundreds police agents in civilian immediately fled from the Skarina prospect, having captured nobody on the way.

Lukashenko Desperate to Overcome the Nation

Another opinion poll was carried out by the ZUBR pollsters. They surveyed two categories of population – 1025 people aged over 30 and 1043 people aged 18-30. The survey’s results showed that the people would come to the polling stations and vote against the current ruler.

Moscow Central Bank Voted for Lukashenko with 1,5bln RUR

While presidents of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus were trying to prove that Vitebsk is no Belovezhsky forest reserve and they are the promoters of economic cooperation, Russian Central Bank earmarked for the National Bank of Belarus the first part of the stabilization loan, worth 1,5bln rubles. This was said yesterday by the NB chair Petr Prokopovich. The time for granting the credit has been chosen from political significance – in September there’ll be presidential elections in Belarus.

Borodin and Lukashenko Will Meet in Person

July 27 official Minsk will host a meeting between the State Secretary of Russia-Belarus Union Pavel Borodin and president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. News agencies report that Borodin will inform Alexander Lukashenko about the course of preparations for the next session of the Union’s Cabinet, due to take place in Moscow on August 30. They will also touch upon issues, dealing with funding the union programs and draft project of the constitutional act of the Union state.
