“We are extremely concerned about the absence of invitations to the ODIHR OSCE observers, as PA is to observe the elections only in case ODIHR establishes , both long-term and short-term observance without delay and on a regular basis”, - the Political Committee chair Terry Davis, Wolfgang Berendt, Rapporteur on Belarus in the Council of Europe, and a representative of the Human Rights Committee Cyril Svoboda told the journalists during the press-conference in Minsk today.

Police mån from the Central district police station confiscated computers in the apartment in Zaslavskaya street in Minsk, where the four youth democratic organizations’ head offices are situated – “Youth of the United Civil Party”, “Young Social Democrats”, “Youth Christian Social Union ”, “Belarusian Union of Young Politicians”, and a headquarters of the mobilization campaign "Vybiraj" ("Choose! ").

Putin Refuses to Support Lukashenko In Elections

Russian president Putin told journalists after Thursday evening meeting with A.Lukashenko at the presidential mansion-house Bocharov Ruchei by Sochi that “Russia can not and will not interfere in the internal affairs of Belarus”. What concerns the elections in Belarus, Putin emphasized that “the choice will be made by the nation, and we shall respect it”.
