Troops Called to Prepare for Outside Invasion
11:02, 10/08/2001

The idea of the soon tactic military exercise “Neman-2001”, led by Defense Minister lieutenant-general Leonid Maltsev, has been worked out in strict accordance with Lukashenko’s Concept of national security and Military Doctrine, which is under the parliament’s consideration right now. The training will be based around the possible outside military invasion into the country. To pursue this idea, the country will be conditionally divided into two parts – “Red Republic” and “Blue Republic”.

BelaPAN reports that on the territory of “Red Republic” there’ll be initiated a conflict situation, the solution of which will be proposed by the leadership of the “Blue Republic” with the application of armed forces. Under the circumstances, the “Blue Republic” determines to deploy their contingent along the frontiers of the “Red Republic” and then launch a military operation to annex part of the “Red Republic’s” territory.

The “Red Republic” adequately reacts to the aggression of the “Blue” and undertakes measures of both diplomatic and military character to stabilize the situation. During the deployment of “Blue Republic’s” groupings the “Red Republic” increases its combat readiness and the capability of her armed troops, deploying its contingents on the most dangerous directions. In case the aggression continues, the “Red Republic” responds adequately.
