Goncharik Claims More Revelations About Belarusian Authorities 11:07, 10/08/2001
Candidate for the supreme post of Belarus, unique nominee from the wide public coalition FTU chair Vladimir Goncharik is ready to voice new “sensational exposures” on the Belarusian authorities’ involvement in the abductions of opposition politicians. At the Vitebsk press-conference Goncharik asserted: “There are materials which will be made public in the near future.”
Having reminded everybody about the previous ones on the existence of death quad in Belarus, Goncharik suggested that Alexander Lukashenko invite widows of the disappeared people and inform them about the course of investigation.
Trade union leader pledged that in case of his election as president he would “launch a thorough investigation into this and other cases with the assistance of foreign experts, so that there would be no more doubts among the society and the guilty ones would be held answerable.”
