36 USD – Minimal Consumer’s Budget in Belarus 11:04, 14/08/2001
The Cabinet of Minister ruled to establish the new size of the consumer’s budget in Belarus (it will now average roughly $36 or 51.946, depending on the concrete stratum of population in question).
This is 19% more than in May-July budgets, for able-bodied populace – 55.277 (plus 17,7%), pensioners – 42.833 (plus 17,9%), students - 54.272 (plus 18,2%), kids aged 3-16 - 56.589 (plus 17,9%), kids under 3 - 41.898 (plus 16%). Present MCB is more than the previous one, based on March price-level, by 12,2-17,1%. The average percentage of the key items of consumer expenditures in the MCB is this: foodstuff – 51% (previously 49), clothing, underwear and footwear - 21,1% (22,1), items of culture and household - 8,1% (8,8), items of sanitation, hygiene and medications - 2,8% (3,1), apartment rent and utilities - 7,3% (6,4), transport – 6% (6,8).
