“My main goal is to learn in my lifetime, who executed the order to kill my husband, for the name of the one who ordered it is clear,” – said on August 13 in her address to Grodno public Ludmila Karpenko, wife of the deceased Belarusian politician Gennady Karpenko, who died in mysterious circumstances. Ludmila Karpenko called the death of her husband a “political assassination”.

Meeting with Ludmila Karpenko and Irina Krasovskaya, wife of the businessman Anatoly Krasovsky, who disappeared off the street together with his friend Gonchar, took place in Grodno on the premises of the local Ratusha foundation. During the meeting the ladies spoke about the circumstances, under which their husbands and other victims died or vanished.

Irina Krasovskaya refuted the viewpoint, voiced during the meeting in Grodno, that the Belarusian opposition is implicated in the murders. According to Irina Krasovskaya “Belarusian opposition isn’t so cynical as to carry out such barbarities.”
