Borodulin Backs Domash, Finberg with Orchestra – Lukashenko :: Charter'97 :: News

Among the confidants of the candidates are many renowned Belarusians: scholars, artists and politicians. BelaPAN reports that Goncharik’s trustees are professor Yuri Khodyko, poet Gennady Buravkin, TV host Zinaida Bondarenko. Domash is supported by prominent filmmaker Yuri Khastchevatsky, poet Rygor Borodulin, singer Viktor Shalkevich. Lukashenko’s most well-known backers are MP and writer Nikolai Chegrinets, former first secretary of the communist party Efrem Sokolov, orchestra conductor Mikhail Finberg and others.

Among other Goncharik’s adherents are also five former nominees for the presidency – Pavel Kozlovsky, Sergei Kalykin, Mikhail Marinich, Alexander Yaroshuk, Mikhail Chigir and also leader of the United Civil Party Anatoly Lebedko, head of the female party “Nadzeya” Valentina Polevikova, labor party Alexander Bukhvostov, deputy chair of BPF, Supreme Soviet MP Vladimir Kudinov and others.

Syamon Domash is helped by BPF leader Vintsuk Vyachorka, deputy chair of UCP Pavel Daneiko, leader of “Vesna” human rights group Ales Belyatsky, Supreme Soviet deputies Valery Schukin and Pavel Znavets.
