The amalgamation of Goncharik’s and Domash’s headquarters is almost complete. Under the signed accord between two nominees for the presidency Domash is obliged to withdraw his candidacy in favor of a single candidate from democratic forces and place his organizational structures at Goncharik’s disposal.
BelaPAN was told in Domash’s office that it had been decided that Goncharik’s people would head all the regional and Minsk elective headquarters, while Domash’s folks will be their deputies. The only exception will be made for Grodno region, where Domash is quite popular. Both Goncharik’s headquarters leader and his assistant will be represented by Domash’s representatives.
As for the district headquarters, their leadership will be appointed on the spot “on the basis of their authority and influence”. Next week Goncharik and Domash will be dedicating much of their time and effort cruising around the regions in order to regulate these issues.
