NEWS  First Part of Russian Loan Transferred to Belarus 11:02, 21/08/2001 First share of the Russian loan, worth $30mln, arrived in Belarus. Finance Minister Nikolai Korbut explained that these funds, as envisaged by the intergovernmental accord, would go to cover the expenses on the purchase of commodity, shipped from Russian Federation. Nikolai Korbut claims that the credit is earmarked on beneficial conditions for Belarus: low tax rate and expiry date – year 2003.
