Goncharik Pledges to Abolish Political Tracking 11:18, 21/08/2001
Unique candidate from wide public coalition, leader of the Federation of Belarusian trade unions Vladimir Goncharik intends in case of his election in office to carry out within the first 100 days complete rehabilitation of the falsely convicted, restore in rights the wrongly sacked ones and put an end to political tracking and surveillance, reads the pre-election program of candidate, passed over to Interfax on Tuesday.
Vladimir Goncharik intends to “step up exhaustive measures” to identify the ones guilty of abductions of renowned political and public figures, bring back the sovereignty of the judiciary, do away with criminality and corruption. The candidate deems absolutely necessary to clear the image of the law-enforcement agents and improve their work, especially as concerns the protection of citizens’ property rights.
The candidate will “in practice guarantee constitutional rights of populace, including the right for the freedom of speech, convictions, faith, immunity and superiority of human dignity”.
