Severinets Interrogated by KGB for 8 Hours 11:13, 07/09/2001
September 6 the Youth Front leader Pavel Severinets was summoned to the KGB for interrogation over the grenade blast, which went off May 30 this year on the territory of Russian diplomatic compound.
The interrogation lasted for 8 hours with a lunch-break. Interestingly, the KGB officers suggested that Pavel eat in their canteen, but he refused, so they had to accompany him to the near-by restaurant “Uzvysha”. In his interview to BelaPAN Pavel Severinets said that the detectives asked him but a very few questions about that explosion. They were most interested in his own personality, the activities of Youth Front, pre-election slogans etc. Severinets’s answers can be divided into three groups: “don’t remember”, “this question has nothing to do with the grenade blast at the Russian embassy” and “the question touches upon my person so I may abstain from voting under law”.
