Recently in the Pervomaysky Court in Minsk a hearing of the case initiated by the UCP leader Anatoly Lebedko who brought an action against Belarusian TV and Radio company and a permanent author of its program “Secret Springs Of Politics”, Yuri Azaryonok, was to be held. In his deceitful program, rousing xenophobia, he declared that after one of his trips to Poland Lebedko received 8.5 thousand USD. The author has given not a single proof, as a result he was summoned to court. But the representatives of the Belarusian TV, who arrived to court, said that Azaryonok is having a month’s leave outside Belarus.

The lawyers of the Belarusian TV also passed to judge Elena Ananich a document, stating that the BelTV chairman Egor Rybakov was not able submit a video copy of this program to the court, as “The Belarusian TV company ran short of cassettes and the recording of this program was erased in a month’s term after its broadcasting, so we cannot submit it to the court”. The representatives of the TV company also said that the company did not have enough money to buy a new video tape. One should think that money is spent on creation of filthy, fabricated series and on salaries for TV agents provocateurs like the Azaryonoks, Novikovs and Zimovskies.

The court was postponed until November 1 because of the absence of the defendant. By this time he, having received a good rest, must appear in the capital.

As Lebedko stressed that “Azaryonok is nothing but a primitive puppet. The objective of the series “Secret Springs Of Politics” is bringing into disrepute the leaders of the democratic opposition. The author have received carte blanche in its achieving. In this situation the method of achieving it is lies, falsification and trickery. And these instigators received a guarantee of full immunity”.
