Youth Front leader Pavel Severinets received ten days of jail for protecting the crosses, installed in Kuropaty. It took the judge of the Minsk district court almost 5 hours to consider Pavel’s case. As a result, Pavel will serve his term in a building on Staroborisovsky Tract str., as far as the Okrestina confinement is designed for the ones, convicted in Minsk city courts. Another Youth Front leader Fedor Zhivalevsky was sentenced by the Sovietsky court of Minsk to a seven-day arrest under art.166 and 167 – involvement in an unsanctioned picket and resistance to police. Other Kuropaty defenders are being punished with fines for now.

Same day the responsible secretary of the Conservative Christian BPF party Vladimir Yukho was fined five minimal wages. Valery Yuivol and Ales Romanovsky addressed the court with a petition to summon to the courtroom the riot policeman, who had detained them. Their case consideration will resume later in the day. Leonid Sadovsky is bound to pay a 20 minimal wages fine.

The Sovietsky court of Minsk summoned yesterday members of the ZUBR and Youth Front: Andrei Egorov, Evgeny Afnagel, Irina Kashtalik, Nikolai Tkachenko, Yuri Fabishevsky, Yaroslav Steshik, Roman Kazakevich, Nikita Sasim, Vladislav Volodko, Ales Telegin, Gennady Drankovich, Veronika Kupchenko and Evgeny Klimov.

Almost all of them demanded to be assigned with a lawyer and the jury postponed the court examination. Only the student of the University of Grodno declined to be given an attorney and was punished with a fine – 7 minimal wages.
