What are the new occupations of the former Cabinet’s Ministers, who lost their positions after the presidential ballot? Radio Svaboda reports that the former chair of the Belarusian government Vladimir Ermoshin, according to his family members, is on a holiday leave abroad. For quite an extended period of time remain unemployed former Defense Minister Alexander Chumakov and ex-Minister of culture Alexander Sosnovsky, dismissed by Lukashenko ahead of the presidential elections. Similar is the situation with Olga Dargel – former Minister of social protection. However, she is already of a retirement age, which allows her to received pension. Not so with the ex-Minister for healthcare Igor Zelenkevich who hasn’t reached the retirement age yet. So far, we don’t know where the man will work.
Former Vice-Premier Mikhail Demchuk has already got a new job. Being an academician of the National Academy of Sciences, he returned to the Belarusian Polytechnic Academy. He used to be a rector there before his high appointment, but now he only took the position of the director of the center of laser physics.
Another former deputy chair of the government Valery Kokarev is in Russia. Some people claim that the former official will do private business in oil industry there – he used to be in charge of this industry when being a Vice-Premier. Ex-Minister of education Vassily Strazhev is also pondering what he should do.
Analysts notice that during the restructuring of the Cabinet the most unfortunate were the folks, who were deeply rooted in the Minsk nomenclature, like all the afore-mentioned officials.
