“The workers in Belarus are insolently exploited. Two or three years from now an hour of working time cost 49 cents, while nowadays it costs 31 cents. In Poland one working our costs an average of 2-3 dollars, although we both began with an equal cost of working time,” – independent radio-station Ratsya reports Ludmila Gryaznova (MP, Charter’97 member) as saying.
The lady complained that there’s no way she can share this with the populace of her country, as far as opposition has no access to media. The authorities did their best to cut off truth from the working masses. Ludmila Gryaznova is convinced that for as long as they keep telling the folks through TV and radio that unless there’s no war everything’ ok, things will remain pretty much on the same level. If people don’t understand this we’ll have to set before them an example of the Baltic states and Poland.
