Budget Adopted By “House Of Representatives”. Obediently As Usual 11:17, 16/11/2001
The budget for 2002, worked out by the Ministry of Finance and proposed by A.Lukashenka to the parliament, was adopted in the first reading. 64 deputies voted for this decision, while 25 were against. In the course of the yesterday’s scandal with the weaponry trade profits, it became known that in 2002 more than 36 billion BLR (about 24 million dollars) will come to the extra-budget accounts.
The profitable part of the consolidated budget will make 7,5 billions BLR. The maim part of the budget profits are to be received from taxes, VAT, income tax, and profits from financial operations.
Minister of Finance Mikalaj Korbut emphasized that the VAT volume is to rise by 17 per cent, and revenue return from excise duties are to reduce. The planned expenditure of the consolidated budget-2002 will make 7,9 billion BLR, which is more than this year.
