Rechitsa procuracy allowed the defendant Natalya Brel and her attorney Dmitry Ivanishko to familiarize themselves with the results of the lawsuit, opened against the woman for alleged defaming the president’s honor.
It took the investigators four and a half months to examine the birthday present, given to Alexander Lukashenko by Natalya Brel on August 30 last year. The lady brought it right to the doors of the city hall back then.
However, chair of the city hall’s personnel department Vladimir Vedgun didn’t pass it over to the recipient. He opened the box instead and found there a rope, tied in a loop, a soap and other stuff like that. The official forwarded the present to the procuracy.
On September 13 the senior procuracy investigator Yuri Demyanchik instituted legal proceedings against the young female UCP activist for her defamation of Alexander Lukashenko. Later they added there one more accusation (art.367 – slander against the president).
Although, Natalya Brel spent almost three days behind bars, she did not accept her guilt. Nor does she do it now.
