It was the comparison the Austrian newspaper “Standart” employed for Belarusian leader. In one of the articles the newspaper posed a question what Belarusian dictator has in common with Polish anti-democrat Leper. Analyzing the phenomenon of the Eastern European populism and anti- democratism on the example of the leader of the Polish movement “Self-Defense” Andrzej Lepper, Warsaw and Vienna philosophers Krol and Pfawigan believe that this Polish politician has adopted much from Belarusian dictator Lukashenka, and not from Hitler or Mussolini.
The last longed for power to use the state for realization of their wishes and programs. The modern Belarusian dictator, unlike them, demonstrates extremely post-modernistic irrational policy; he sees the state as the obstacle for his actions. The main thing for such people as Lukashenka and Leper is to accumulate power in their hands, - the Standard states. – They do not need parliament with all compromises. They do not need state of law either, as it is a real image of enemy for them.
“The chances of the West to influence Lukashenka are slim, - the Austrian newspaper writes. – Belarusian leader does not give in to any arguments and persuasion”.
