Butter and Fat Industry In Depressing Condition

A consultation on the problems of the butter and fat industry of the country took place on Tuesday, February 26, with participation of vice Prime Minister Alyaxandar Papkou. The state of affairs is more than depressing. For instance, the figures for November 1, 2001, the debts of the four plants of this industry was equal to 32,225 million roubles.

It is worth mentioning that before these consultations the government has made a favour to the plant which state is the worst, Homel grease plant. It has received a payment delay until 2007 for a sum DEM 1.6 million, the German credit received by AKA/Hermes by Homel. Last year the government had to pay for a large part of it, and its pro cents.
