Unprofitable “Belshina” to Become Holding
11:02, 17/04/2002

Within the next two weeks the Bobruisk tyre-making company “Belshina” will sign a new three-year collective agreement between the administration and the trade union committee. Moreover, reports BelaPAN, they also think over the possibility to grant to the company’s divisions an economic sovereignty and a legal entity status.

The trade union conference of the “Belshina” personnel examined the project of this document and also discussed the fulfillment of the previous three-year collective agreement, reports BelaPAN. Director general of “Belshina” Dmitry Sivitsky started his speech at the conference with bringing apologies for the salary payment delays and promised to clear off the indebtedness within the next couple of days. In his view, the major problem in company’s operation is the lack of turnover assets, high level of production costs and loan debts. The situation, said the director general, could be resolved by the joint stock transformation process, currently underway at the company, and the new capital flow.
