NEWS  Great Britain Lists Belarus Among Ballistic Missile Holders 11:04, 02/05/2002 The British Defense Ministry published the list of countries, possessing ballistic missiles. Out of the total 28 countries, having this deadly weaponry in their arsenal, only five pose potential threat to the world community – Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria and North Korea, reports IRNA. Although the British military department believes that at present the afore-mentioned rogue states “present no serious danger to the United Kingdom”, the authorities stress that “within next couple of years the risk may escalate.” In the Middle East the ballistic missiles are owned by Egypt, Israel, the United Arabian Emirates and Yemen. Among the Asian states: Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
