Pavel Mozheiko will be sent to Zhlobin, Gomel region, while Nikolai Markevich – to Osipovichi, Mogilev region.

Overnight on August 28-29 the walls of the Minsk confinement center in Okrestina street were covered with slogans “Freedom to political prisoners!”, “Freedom to Afnagel!” and “Defend Independence!” All day long the employees of the confinement center had to whitewash the graffiti. Evgeny Afnagel is a ZUBR activist, who engaged in the anti-integration action at the monument to the hero pioneer Marat Kazei on August 20. On August 27 he was sentenced to ten days of arrest. At the moment the young man is holding a hunger-strike in jail.

On September 2 there will start consideration of lawsuit, filed by the relatives of the ex-Minister of Interior Affairs Yuri Zakharenko on recognizing him dead. The wife of the ex-Minister, now living in Germany, told BelaPAN that he family intends to retain property in Minsk. Otherwise, it will be taken over by the state. The Minsk procuracy is still responsible for investigating into the general’s disappearance case.

Belarusian parliamentarians aren’t included into the list of the OSCE observers in Macedonia, due to take place on September 15. A group of OSCE observers, which includes 30 deputies from 15 countries, is headed by the Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly Kimmo Kilyunen. As you remember, in September last year the Finnish parliamentarian visited Belarus as a special OSCE mission’s coordinator of limited observation for the presidential elections, reports radio “Unistar”.

Zhlobin inter-district branch of the Department of financial investigation of the Gomel region instituted legal action against the director of the “Pirevichi” company. BELTA correspondent was told in the press-center of the Committee for state control that the head of the company in order to get 20mln rubles loan to purchase cattle, submitted to the “BelAgroPromBank” false documents. In reality, he paid out the money to the workers. Under art.237/2 of the Criminal code (luring credits or funds) can now get up to five years of jail.
