Lukashenko May Be Granted Czech Visa In Aftermath of NATO’s Summit 16:39, 13/11/2002
The visa application procedure concerning Alexander Lukashenko’s desire to visit NATO’s summit in the Czech Republic isn’t limited by any concrete date, “Mediafact” was told by the Czech charge-d’affaires in Belarus Ales Foitek. The diplomat explained that under the law#1326 of 1990 the decision to issue Czech visa to Lukashenko may take 30 days. “Anyway, there’s still time left,” – noted the head of the diplomatic mission.
Foitek confirmed that yesterday in the first half of the day he held meeting with the deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Alexander Sychev, during which the foreign diplomats were told “regrettably, in an oral form” about the Belarusian leadership’s position on the subject.
