Lukashenko Pockets Privileged Persons’ Money
11:17, 29/11/2002

Alexander Lukashenko’s reserve fund will receive next year 146,2bln rubles, economized due to the change in the privileged payment system, “Mediafact” quotes the Finance Minister Nikolai Korbut as telling the “deputies” on Thursday. According to him, “extra resources” were reserved in order to spend them on rendering personal assistance to the needy ones, as well as to erect the social objects.

Korbut underscored that the total size of the reserve fund of the head of state for the year 2003 constitutes 213,3bln rubles. Apart from this sum, 56,6bln rubles are an unchangeable amount under the law, while 4bln rubles are a result of the contraction of spendings on maintaining foreign offices, said the Minister.
He informed MPs that they transferred to the fund in order to finance possible expenditures of the public organizations 3,5bln rubles and to purchase equipment and repair the state buildings – 8,3bln. Moreover, they also allocated in the fund additional 0,7bln rubles in reserves for supporting entrepreneurship.
