Lukashenko’s Spouse Uninvited into Elite Female Club
11:31, 23/01/2003, Mignews.com.ua

The first lady of Belarus Galina Lukashenko wasn’t included into the club of the wives of the country’s top leaders, set up on January 12. Galina Lukashenko lives in a village and seemingly they simply forgot about her very existence.

Lukashenko’s wife, whose been living for nine years in the Rizhkovichi village of Shklov district, wasn’t proposed membership in the elite female club. Following Lukashenko’s election as president in 1994 his wife categorically refused to travel to Minsk and remained in her home village in the Mogilev region. That’s why the head of state is always alone at official receptions. The patron’s example is taken over by his subordinates.
