“He Must Go!” Call in Central Minsk 17:08, 27/01/2003
A few thousand flyers with “He Must Go!” calls were glued over the past weekend by the ZUBR movement’s activists. The flyers appeared all across Skarina prospect and the adjacent streets. They could be seen everywhere – at pillars, bus stops, buildings’ walls and fences.
On January 25 the law-enforcers detained the movement’s activist Roman Kazakevich and on the following day – Egor Shumsky. Kazakevich was held for almost five days in the Central district police station. They checked his fingerprints and videotaped him. Shumsky spent around 1,5 hours in police custody and was set free afterwards without any protocol filing. Flyers still appear in the capital’s downtown.
