USA didn’t include Belarus to program of military assistance to CIS states

George Bush administration planned to spend 36,4 million dollars on military assistance to states of Community of Independent States. This project is in bill that was headed to US Congress on Monday.

As informed Russian Information Agency “News” in department of budget of White House, they were told about program called “Foreign military financing”. US government will offer grants and loans for buying American equipment including weapon and professional education.
Aim of the assistance is to support this countries in their struggle against terrorism.
In 2004 major addressees of American help will be Georgia and Uzbekistan. Each of this countries will get USD 10 million of this measures. Kirghizstan will get 6 million, Ukraine – 3 million. Also Armenia (2,5 millon), Azerbaijan (2,5 million), Moldova (1 million), Turkmenistan (0,7 million) and Tajikistan will get loans.
Only Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus are not included to programs “of military financing”.
Project of US budget on 2004 also includes financing on one more program: “International program of military education”. Budget of the program will be spend on paying for education and internship in military education establishments and military academies of the US.
In 2004 White House plans to give 9,75 million dollars on this measures. Belarus is not included to this program.
