President of Iran will visit Belarus in spring :: Charter'97 :: News

Ambasador of Iran in Belarus Mohammad Hashemy Golpaegany informed that visit of Iranian leader to Minsk is planned on spring. It will be reciprocal visit on Lukashenko’s visit to Tegeran in 1997. Ambasador of Iran declared that his country is worried by possibility of using weapon of mass defeat by Iraq. But representative of Iran is also against USA attack on Iraq.

“Iraq has been using chemical weapon already during war against Iran. We admit that Iran will use weapon of mass defeat again,” – said ambassador of Iran. He reminded that people who live on border of Iraq and Iran suffered most that time.
Iranian ambassador said that in case of military operation against Iraq Iranian people can also suffer.
“Teheran is against unilateral USA attack on Iraq”, -- said ambassador.
Ambassador said that relations between Iran and Belarus are useful. And economic connections develop according to plan that was created by leaders of two countries during Lukashenko’s visit to Teheran.
