NEWS  “Open Doors World Watch”: Christians Under Fire in Belarus 16:50, 10/02/2003, BDG International Christian human rights organization “Open Doors World Watch” published a list of countries, where Christians undergo persecutions. The country, which tops the list, is North Korea of the “axis of evil”. Belarus comes bottom of the list on the 50ieth spot. Belarus should take no pride in her being last persecutor of Christians on the list. No other European country, Russia being the only exception, is mentioned there. In Russia, however, many territories are inhabited by Muslims and Buddhists. The list-2002 has been drawn on the basis of evaluations and testimonies of local residents and field missions. According to the “Open Doors”, around 200mln Christians worldwide suffer from persecution for professing their faith in Christ, while 200-400mln more are exposed to discrimination for their belief.  TOPIC LINKS  Ideologists from Clergy US DEPT.
