Justice Ministry Withdraws Accusation
11:45, 11/02/2003

Justice Ministry cancelled reprimand, ruled against the Fellowship of the Belarusian language, reports Radio Svaboda. The warning was passed on November 26 last year for FBL’s installation of memorable cross in commemoration of the perished heroes of anti-Russian liberation upheavals. Now all of a sudden the Ministry officials changed their mind and lifted the original charges.

As said by the FBL’s leader Oleg Trusov, the statesmen might have come back to their senses in court, for the very object of their dispute was the cross. However, another of their two reprimands still remains pending, which the organization isn’t going to appeal against. Moreover, they obliged their Lida representative Stanislav Sudnik to change the organization’s stamp, which became root-cause for the first reprimand.
