Belarus and Iran’s approaches to the peaceful solution of the Iraqi problem coincide in many points, said in unison first deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Vasily Pugachev and deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Mahsen Aminzade, who arrived in Minsk to engage in FM consultations on a wide spectrum of items.
Answering the journalists’ questions, Mahsen Aminzade underscored that Iran is utterly concerned over the situation development around Iraq. Unfortunately, said he, the Iraqi regime has never been a good neighbor for them. Nonetheless, he said, “Iran is opposed to any combat actions in the region, while the conflict’s resolution has to be carried out solely through such international organizations as the UN. We are against a unilateral solution of such problems on the worldwide level”.
