Everyone knows that in February they pledged to raise our pensions. Mine amounted to 108.570 rubles this time, which is 7thsd rubles more than previously. Having paid for public utilities in January I drew a chart of the payments for the past three months and here’s what I got at the end.

As one can clearly see from the chart, they robbed us one more time in January, stripping me of 9059 rubles and adding extra 7000. In other words, public utilities soared thrice in price as compared with December.
Didn’t Lukashenko know that 7% pension rise would never cover expenditures on public utilities in January? I don’t believe he didn’t. From the chart I drafted one can see that they took away too much from us this time. However, given we continue to keep silent, they will plunder us even more.
Lukashenko has numerously stated that he is a guarantor of Constitution, but it really seems as though he hasn’t peered into its text for a while. Article 21 there goes like this: “Every individual has the right for a decent way of living, which includes good nutrition, clothing, housing and constant improvement of living conditions, necessary for that.
Let us make proper calculations and find out what improvements are there in my life. My pension is 108.570 rubles. 61.070 is spent on public utilities, 15.000 – on medications for I am a disabled person. Then we divide the result of deduction by 30 days and receive 1083 at the end. I’d like Lukashenko to try and live one of his days on 1083 rubles.
Lukashenko claims that we live so poorly ‘cause we don’t work well. Don’t buy that! We live so badly, because those in power are working so. Keep that in mind, please, and don’t be deceived by them.
On March 12 there will be held a protest march in the country under the motto “For Better Life!”. How I’d love to see 100 thousand or even 200 thousand people taking to the streets rather than just 100 or 200 as usual! Let all of us get together – pensioners, workers, students. For as long as we don’t unite, they will keep robbing us more.
If my health doesn’t fail me, I’m going to purposefully visit Minsk for the March with a slogan “Stop plundering the nation, it is already poor enough!”.
