Empty Saucepans Concert in Mogilev 12:24, 05/03/2003
On March 12 Mogilev will host an action within the framework of the People’s March “For Better Life!”, said at the March 4 press-conference in Mogilev representatives of ZUBR, UCP, BSDG, Free Trade Union and “Private Property”. The journalists were told that the action is motivated by the nation’s impoverishment, price-growth on basic commodity and services and sharp rise in the apartment rent. The action will be held under social slogans.
The event will start at 6p.m. March 12 opposite the Mogilev town hall. Then the protesters will march towards the regional executive committee for the “concert of empty saucepans”. The organizers didn’t reveal the sense of this mysterious expression, asking the journalists to be patient and wait till March 12.
