NEWS  Action "For Better Life!" in Gomel 11:21, 13/03/2003 Gomel authorities didn’t allow the local entrepreneurs to organize meeting “For Better Life!” in central town, proposing to rally at the empty square opposite the Palace of the society of deaf. So today at 5p.m.despite pouring rain and snow, some entrepreneurs and representatives of the youth movement ZUBR contrary to the official ban assembled at the Vosstaniya square. There were lots of police there and so the action’s participants didn’t raise any banners. They stood silently and chatted near the monument to the T-34 tank. At 6p.m. the youth unfurled a banner “Can’t live like that!” There in no time turned up police officers and tore the banner apart.
