Belarusian Emergency Ministry Readying to Supply Humanitarian Aid to Iraq
12:21, 08/04/2003

The Ministry for emergency situations of Belarus claims readiness to provide the Iraqis with the humanitarian aid. BELTA news agency was told in the Ministry that these would mostly be products, medications, blankets and other first necessities. According to the head of the Ministry’s department Viktor Tischenko, the most preferable method of delivering the humanitarian cargo to Iraq is by air, of which they had held negotiations with the “Transaviaexport” company. It will take the Belarusian specialists three days to get the cargo ready for dispatching. However, up to date the Iraqi side didn’t notify Belarus about their need for that.
