11:24, 22/07/2003, Radio Svaboda

Matias Eorsi: “In Future I See Lukashenko Somewhere in Central Africa”
11:20, 22/07/2003, Irina Khalip, “BDG”, specially for Charter’97 web-site

Matias Eorsi– president of PACE Liberal Group. On one hand he’s one of the many European political figures, preoccupied with the situation in Belarus. On the other hand, he chairs the parliamentary group, including rapporteurs and heads of all commissions on Belarus. In his view, it is normal since liberals are distinguished from others by their love for freedom. Moreover, he says that politicians from Central and Eastern Europe comprehend the situation in Belarus better than others, as far as they themselves had to fight communist regimes in the past. They were successful and feel like helping our country – the last one, where the “freedom” category is purely grammatical.

These means were used by the Belarusian plant as if they were its own.
