Vladimir Putin pronounced for the necessity to close down the issue about the unique currency of the "union state" as soon as possible. During the meeting with the government`s members that held in Kremlin the Russian president declared that the leaders of the both countries came to an agreement to precise the date of the meeting in order to definitely close down the question about introducing the unique currency.

While all the former Soviet republics demolish the monuments to the communist leader, immortalizing their national heroes, Belarus does quite the contrary. In Tcherikov people’s offerings are being collected to restore the monument to the chief of world’s proletariat. The local press regularly informs the citizens about the success in this process.

The new subject – fundamentals of ideology of Belarusian state – will be studied at the second semester. According to official sources, the “best creative groups” are drafting its contents. Quickly the textbooks and methodical additional books are being worked out. The state officials call upon the public opinion not to worry and promise not to provide “brain-washing a la Soviet times”. The opponents are not inclined to believe this.

The Libyan Arab Foreign Bank is going to give Belarus the credit of 120 mln euro. This news was announced by the Belarusian TV channel ONT on Saturday. According to this information the project of the credit’s agreement that would be made with the guarantee of the Belarusian government has been already approved at the highest level and ready for signing. It’s expected that the credit would be given for 5 years with 3,5 % of annual payments. According to the preliminary agreements, the Libyan bank would “ transfer all the sum intended for financing the state expenses of the borrower”. Moreover the Libyan side grants a one-year delay for clearing off the main debt.

Religious Jews of the whole world go on carrying out the mass action of protest (picketing the Belarusian Embassies) demanding to stop outraging upon old Jewish cemetery in Grodno. Last week the demonstration in front of Belarusian representations in London in Brussels engaged more than 300 religious Jews. This week the actions will be held near the Belarusian representations in New York and Washington.
