The Central Bank of Russia will be the only emission center when the Russian ruble is introduced as the only legal money on the territory of Russia and Belarus. This news was announced on Monday by the first deputy Finances minister of Russia Alexey Ulukaev in the upshot of the conference of Russian-Belarusian working group on preparing the intergovernmental agreement on introducing the unique currency. So, Ulukaev refuted the statement about the possibility of creating two releasing centers of the “union state” that had appeared in mass media before. According to this document, the ruble must pass current from the beginning of January 2005 as the only legal cash on the territory of Belarus.

Belarusian president had to repeat his order to increase the purchase prices for meat and milk more than once. Finally they were raised on Friday. Not by two times as it was supposed, but by 1,5 times. Yet, only for milk that is bought up from the population (now the price for one liter is 300 rubles). As “Komsomolka’ was informed in Minskselkhozprod, the purchase prices for meat are planned to be raised in the nearest future. However the buyers are supposed to ignore these changes – the president insisted on leaving all the price-lists the same. As saying, trade and recycling plants will pay for the rise of prices.
