The Ministry of Justice refused the registration of the youth organization “The Young Social Democrats”. The organization got the official reply on November 17. It says that the decision was made on the basis of the final report of the Republican committee on registration of the political parties and public associations.

The hearings on Mikhail Leonau’s case, the former general director of Minsk Tractor Plant, will start today in the Supreme court. After the hearings are over, the accused will be given a final word. The court will then announce the verdict. As Interfax informs, Leonau is accused of theft, misappropriation, and receiving bribes. The former director is charged with other crimes. Leonau yields himself not guilty.
