According to the information, the “deputy” Vasili Khrol, who is infamous for his plan to introduce 20% tax on cellular phones, asked the head of the Belarusian KGB Leanid Eryn to close www.charter97.org. Khrol said to Eryn that there are his phone numbers on the site and people calling him interfere with his work. So that Khrol required from the KGB to close the Charter`s site. Leanid Eryn promised to examine the matter. It is surprising that Khrol complains of voters calling him. Communication with people is a part of his job. Besides, we underline that in the news the phones were not mentioned. All the information concerning Khrol’s anti-popular initiative was taken out of the officially registered sources, newspapers, information agencies and so on. The phones were posted on forums by visitors. The same result would be if Khrol would require closing any portal with forums and the Internet on the whole.
