As the human rights center “Viasna” has find out, on January 17, 2004 in the court of the Frunze district of Minsk, the session of the court on the case of execution suspension of Aksana Novikava is to take place. Aksana Novikava was sentenced for abuse of the president of Belarus to two years with suspension of execution for two years. If the court would reverse a sentence of Aksana Novikava, she could be imprisoned for two years. The reason for directing the case to the court was numerous facts when Novikava had been taken to court for active social and political dealings.
