Dear friends! In the end of the past year our site have carried out a survey. We asked you to answer several questions. In three weeks 786 people have participated. We offer you some results of this survey.

64% of our visitors live in Belarus (45% from Minsk and 19% in regions), 12% live in Europe and 11% are from the USA. 4% live in Russia and the CIS countries. As for the age of the audience, majority of them are in the prime of their life. People aged 35-55 make up 26 % of our visitors, 25-35 years old make up 35% of the audience, and aged18-25 form 27%.
72% of our visitors either have graduated from universities or are undergraduate students. People having secondary education constitute 16%, and 9% of our viewers have an academic degree.

34% of the respondents visit the site www.charter97.org every day, 24% - one or two times a week, 11% - several times a month. Others choose a different schedule.

71% of visitors, an overwhelming majority, are interested first of all in political information (authorities, elections, activities of political structures) and violations of human rights. Economy (economical policy, issues of privatization, showings of development, problems of business, redistribution of property, corruption) and social topics (social disorder, prices growth, unemployment) have been prioritized by 28% of visitors.

Precisely a half of the respondents consider that www.charter97.org is the leader among Belarusian news resources, 34% receive news about Belarus exclusively from our site. The quality of information rendering is estimated as “good” by 48% of the audience, “satisfactory” – by 20%, “excellent” – 17%, “not satisfactory” – 2%, and 13% said that it is hard to say or they had no answer.

75% of respondents are opponent of the existing regime in Belarus, 3% placed themselves among its supporters, 13% ascribed themselves to the category “neither opponents nor supporters”, and 4% could not answer to this question.

We asked you to evaluate the projects that appeared at our site this year. The most successful of them was “Belarusian totalitarianism is a reality “ by A Sannikov (11% of visitors). 10% of visitors voted for materials of each of the projects “NKS” and “Free Internet”.
