On the eve of the tenth anniversary of American President Bill Clinton’s visit to Belarus unknown criminals have destroyed the memorial sigh – the gift of the American people to the Belarusians.
The fate of the memorial sigh through these ten years was hard. “In 1997 this bench was destroyed for the first time. It has been damaged for four times only in the last three years”, said the chairman of the civil association “Kurapaty” Vaclaw Nyamkovich. Two years ago the bench was restored by the Embassy of the USA in Belarus.
