Lazavik: 90 Per Cent of Chamber Of Representatives to Go to Elections 14:11, 12/01/2004
The majority of deputies of the chamber of representatives will participate in the next elections in autumn this year, considers the secretary of the Central election Committee Mikalay Lazavik.
“It is possible that about 80-90 per cent of the current parliament would go to elections”, said Lazavik.
He justified it on the basis of the fact that unlike previous ones, this parliament works on a professional basis. “People who have been working in the parliament for four years, have lost touch of their colleagues and working places, some left elective offices for the parliament, and now they cannot return to their previous place of work”, explained Lazavik.
