Kolas Lyceum Recognized By Germany
14:41, 05/02/2004

The level of education of the Lyceum liquidated by the authority is officially recognized by Germany, informs pahonia.promedia.by

Liquidation of Jakub Kolas National Humanitarian Lyceum has not put the end to the life of the Lyceum. “Jakub Kolas National Humanitarian Lyceum works in its normal regime. 120 students are left from about 150. So-called tutorials encompass the whole set of courses. Recently we had very productive examinations in Lithuania, and the authorities in Lithuania know about us. In case we ask for it, we can receive a building in Lithuania. However, we decided not to make such a present for those who are architects of the liquidation of the Lyceum, we shall stay here. Final-year students are getting ready to pass examinations for the program of basic and high school without attending lectures. We are already invited for passing next examinations by other countries. Besides, we are engaged in registration of our Lyceum as a private educational institution”, Uladzimir Kolas said.

The progress of the students of the Lyceum in the last 12 years and the current level of education is recognized everywhere except Belarus – foreign countries gave educational level of our students its due. “As recognition of our Lyceum German government declared valid the unofficial certificate of the Lyceum for all higher institutions of the country. This decision was made at the meeting of the ministers of education of the Federal lands. It is possible that the analogous decisions will be made by governments of the Czech republic, Slovakia, Poland, France. However the great majority of the graduates wants to continue education here, in Belarus”, underlined Uladzimir Kolas.
