In Navapolatsk workers of small-scale business, selling clothes in the markets went on a strike. This action is held in support of demands of their Vitsebsk colleagues who went on hunger strike.
Even the day before yesterday entrepreneurs were not going to strike, but yesterday morning having heard about hunger strike they stopped the work spontaneously. At the spontaneous meeting it was decided not to work toady as well.
As Valer Shawchenka, chairman of the independent trade union of small business of Polatsk said to Radio Svaboda, today he departs for Minsk, where at the consultation of business trade unions’ leaders the question of Vitsebsk hunger strike participants is to be discussed, as well as the nation-wide strike of small entrepreneurs.
