Russian and Belarusian ministers to meet in Moscow on February 10 15:04, 09/02/2004
A meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Russia-Belarus "union" will take place in Moscow on February 10, 2004. Pavel Borodin, the state secretary of the "union", will deliver a report devoted to priority issues concerning the development of the union, the information department of the "union`s" constant committee reported.
Russian Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin and Belarusian National Bank head Pyotr Prokopovich will inform meeting participants of the preparations for an agreement between the Russian government and the Central Bank and the Belarusian government and the National Bank on introducing the ruble as the single currency in the "union".
The balance of fuel and energy resources of the "union" in 2004 will be discussed also. The heads of transportation ministries and agencies will speak about the implementation of joint programs aimed at forming a unified transportation system of the "union".
Reports devoted to the use of common migration cards and the implementation of the program aimed at creating a common automated information system of the "union`s" customs committee in 2003 to 2005 are to be delivered.
On the whole some 17 issues are to be considered at the meeting.
