Belarus Demands Russia Oil Supply In Former Volume 13:04, 09/02/2004, Russian Information Agency Oreanda
Belarus demands from Russia to increase oil supply and continue gas supply and electric power supply at the internal Russian prices. It was stated by Syarhei Sidorsky, Belarusian Prime Minister. As said by him, Russia wants to change the agreement reached before on supply of 18 million tons of oil, diminishing this quantity to 15 millions tons.
Besides, Sidorsky said that the letter of Aleksei Miller, head of Gazprom, was received, where he insists on the price $50 for 1 thousand cubic meters. Prime Minister in his turn considers necessary to act in the framework of the intergovernmental agreement on uniform price policy reached before.
Sidorsky also expressed his view on Russian electric power supply. As said by him, if Russia would raise costs for electric power by 38% for Belarus as for a foreign state, it would also contradict bilateral agreements in the framework of establishment of a “union state”.
