According to police about 200 people took part in meeting organized on 19 of February near Embassy of Russian Federation in Minsk. Participants of the meeting expressed protest against decision of Russian officials to halt gas supply to Belarus with slogans “Our relations are poisoned with gas”, “No to gas war!”, “It is a kick to back of Belarusian people” and with official flags. Police did not disperse participants of not sanctioned action, informs BelaPAN.
Representatives of working collectives of Belarusian plants and members of veteran and youth organizations.
Under official version the goal of participants of the action was “desire to inform Russian society that Russia hurts centuries-old friendship of Belarusian and Russian peoples with their policy in gas sphere”. In about an hour participants of the action drifted apart. Police did not detain anyone near the Russian embassy.
