Participant Of Action “Time to Answer” Got Official Warning 13:38, 20/02/2004
Commission on the affairs of the underage delinquents of the administration of the Lenin District of Minsk issued an official warning to the activist of Zubr movement Julia Bandarenka. Julia Bandarenka took part in the action “Time to Answer” on January 23 in front of Belarusian Public Prosecutor’s Office and was dedicated to the memory of the missing politicians. During detention the girl was beaten unmercifully by a police officer in a uniform of a lieutenant colonel.
As said by Julia’s father, a human rights defendant Zmitser Bandarenka, formally the commission could make this decision, however, during judicial trial he drew attention of the members of the commission that the statement of the case was made up from reports of police officers who had not taken part in Julia’s detention.
